United Airlines flight forced to make emergency diversion to Shannon Airport
A United Airlines flight from Northern Ireland to New York has made an emergency diversion to Shannon Airport.
The Belfast to Newark flight made an emergency diversion to Shannon Airport following take off after 11am from Belfast.
The BBC reports that the flight has been burning off fuel above County Clare.
The flight was scheduled to arrive in Newark Airport just before 2pm local time.
