Fans of U2 are buzzing with the news that the band are set to play dates in Ireland later this year.

The likely dates for the shows are sometime around the end of November.

Lead singer Bono this weekend confirmed the plans – although there are no details yet about the possible venue.

He was speaking after a show in Turin on Saturday night.

It is believed there are many logistical problems to overcome to accommodate the show, as the configuration of the stage is not thought to be suitable for any venue in the country.

However, it’s believed those issues have now been sorted out – and full details are expected to be confirmed by the end of this week.
