Two-year-old airlifted from Waterford after horror fall

A toddler who fell from the second floor of a building was rushed to University Hospital Waterford last night.

However the child’s injuries were deemed so serious that he had to be airlifted to Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin.

A Coastguard helicopter transported the child from Waterford at 12.01am this morning, arriving in Dublin at 2.45am.

It has not yet been established how the child managed to fall from the building, and he is still currently being treated at Temple Street.
