Dublin fire brigade attended two blazes at separate business premises last night in the capital.

They were called to the restaurant Brasserie Sixty6 on South Great George’s Street at 4am to tackle what they referred to as a ‘substantial blaze’.

It took them nearly three hours to extinguish the fire.

Earlier on Saturday evening, at around 9.30pm, they also attended a fire at the motor dealership on the northside of the city.

They were called to the Phoenix Motor Centre on Prussia Street, and once again described the blaze as ‘substantial’ – eventually extinguishing the fire after two hours.
