Two men die in separate incidents

A man in his 50s has died after being crushed when the bucket of a dumper truck he was working on, collapsed on top of him

The incident occurred near Fanore in Co. Clare.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick.

A second man’s body was found near machinery on a far in Shragh, near Doonbeg, yesterday.

Reports indicate that the 54-year-old man suffered fatal injuries while operating a rotary mower.

It is believed that he attempted to make his way back to his house after the accident.

His body was discovered shortly after 7pm and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was taken to Limerick County Morgue.

Both tragedies are being investigated by An Garda and the Health and Safety Authority.
