Three people have been taken to hospital with suspected spinal injuries following a two-car collision in north county Dublin.

The incident occurred at a T-junction on the Malahide Road outside the Kinsealy church, shortly after 9pm last night.

The injured parties were taken separately to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Beaumont Hospital and the Mater Hospital.

Their current condition is not known.

However, a Dublin Fire Brigade official said that the injured were taken away on spinal boards but their condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
