Two arrested and heroin seized following raid by armed gardai

Armed gardi attached to the Regional Support Unit raided a premises this evening as part of an operation into organised crime.

Officers swooped on a house in the St Mary’s Park area of Limerick.

Inside the property €50,000 worth of heroin, pending analysis, was discovered. 

The bust was part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime in the Limerick area by gardaí from Henry St station.

Two men aged 40 and 43 years were arrested and are being held at Henry St, under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
