Two arrested after gardai seize drugs in Dublin

Gardai have seized a quantity of cannabis and arrested two men after an operation in Dublin this afternoon.

At approximately 1pm today as part of ongoing investigations targeting serious criminal activity in the Dublin Region members of the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, supported by the Special Crime Task Force, carried out an operation in the Dublin 7 area.

During the operation a number of individuals were searched and Cannabis with an estimated street value of €83,000 was seized.

Two men, aged 40 and 47, were arrested as part of the investigation.

They are currently detained at the Bridewell Garda Station under drug trafficking legislation and can be held for up to 7 days.

Investigations are ongoing and further updates will follow.
