Traffic tailbacks following crash at busy Dublin junction
Gardai are at the scene of a serious crash at a busy Dublin thouroughfare this evening.
Emergency services have also responded to the scene at the junction of South Circular Road and St John's Rd West.
At least two Dublin Fire Brigade engines and two ambulances have rushed to the scene of the incident, which occurred shortly before 8.30pm.
Traffic approaching the junction from Kilmainham and Islandbridge is heavily congested.
Evening commuters are experiencing significant tailbacks, as far back as Heuston Station and on to the quays.
Rolling road closures are now in place on the South Circular Road as a result of the crash.
