Traffic chaos in Dublin following Port Tunnel fire
Traffic chaos in Dublin as Port Tunnel shut due to fire.
A truck caught fire in Dublin’s Port Tunnell at 7am this morning, no injuries were reported but the north and southbound roads were shut as ten pumps from the Dublin Fire Brigade tackled the blaze.

The fire has since been extinguished but traffic remains at a standstill throughout the northside of the city.
Dublin City Council have lifted the ban on HGV’s travelling through the city for the time being.

Dublin Bus have reported that all drivers were notified of the Port Tunnel closure via an internal radio system on board.
