The suspects were detained following a targeted operation at a house in Cobh on Monday.
During the operation cocaine with an estimated value of €56,000 was seized. It’s understood the drugs originated in Johannesburg, South Africa.
As part of intelligence led operation involving Revenue’s Customs Service based in Dublin and Cork, Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Cork Divisional Drugs Unit, a search was carried out at the premises yesterday afternoon.
Three males, aged between 30 to 45 years, were arrested and are currently detained at Cobh Garda Station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
They are set to appear before a sitting of Midleton District Court later this morning.
"These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks," a garda spokesperson said.
"Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
