The Luas Green Line is down due to a power failure

The Luas Green Line is temporarily down due to a power failure.

The power failure occurred at approximately 9.30pm this morning. 

Luas have said the service is only operating from Carrickmarines to Brides Glen. 

"Please be advised that services on the Green Line (St. Stephen’s Green to Brides Glen) are only running at the moment from Carrickmines and Beechwood.

"There is no service between St Stephens Green and Beechwood and Carrickmines and Bridesglen.

"This is due to an electrical fault. We are doing our utmost to restore a full line as soon as possible."

They added: "Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of this disruption."

UPDATE: "Please be advised that there is no service running on the whole Luas Green Line (St. Stephen’s Green to Brides Glen) for the moment and until further notice.
 
"This is due to a Power Failure in the City Centre. The external contractors are doing the utmost to restore power as soon as possible."
