Temple Bar stab attack leaves man in critical condition

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed in Dublin city centre last night.

The attack took place in Fleet Street in the Temple Bar area of the city.

It is believed the man was stabbed a number of times.

The assault on the man, who is in his early 30s, took place at around 7.30pm

Temple Bar is hugely popular with tourists visiting Dublin, which a huge variety of pubs and restaurants luring them to the area.

No arrests have yet been made and the man is in a critical condition in St James’ Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
