Temperatures set to soar tomorrow
After our historically wet July, it looks as though the nation may get a glimpse of summer after all, as temperatures tomorrow are set to reach 24C.
Met Eireann predicts tomorrow’s weather to be:
Dry in most areas, with sunny intervals, but it will be cloudier along some Atlantic coasts, with a little patchy drizzle or light rain along the northwest coast later.
Warm, with maximum temperatures of 20 to 24 Celsius inland, but 16 or 17 degrees along Atlantic coasts.
Mostly light variable winds.
Friday's temperatures are predicted to be in the high teens with a moderate risk of showers in the west of the country.
Sadly the sunshine isn't set to make it to the weekend with Saturday predicted to be cloudy and cold with scattered showers.
While Sunday is to be bright in the morning with rain arriving in the south west which is set to spread across the nation by late afternoon, turning heavy in places.
Weekend temperatures are to be several degrees below normal for mid-August
