Temperatures forecast to reach high teens today as Ireland gets first taste of summer
The mercury could hit 18 degrees in parts of Ireland on Saturday.
According to Met Eireann, temperatures around Ireland will range between 13 and 18 degrees today.
The national broadcaster expects "good sunshine in most areas" this afternoon, while cloud will develop this evening in the west of Ireland.
Temperatures will drop to between four and seven degrees tonight but Sunday will still be relatively warm in places.
Leinster and Munster can expect a decent day of sunshine tomorrow, with 14 degrees the expected highest temperature, while parts of Ulster and Connacht will see rain.
In further good news, Met Eireann reckons that the week leading into the Easter Bank Holiday weekend will continue to be dry.
However, today's heat should be fully enjoyed as temperatures next week are forecast to be "close to normal for April, or a little below."
