A young man is being questioned by Gardai after being caught with a large amount of cocaine in the capital.

Gardaí from Coolock stopped and searched an 18-year-old man on Manor Drive in Coolock at approximately 7.35pm yesterday evening. 
 
During the course of the search cocaine - subject to analysis - with an estimated street value of €150,000 was located in a black bag in his possession. 
 
The man was arrested and is currently detained at Coolock Garda Station under the Provisions of Section 2 – Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. 
 
Elsewhere, a 17-year-old accused of possession of more than €77,000 worth of ecstasy at his home was refused bail. 
 
On May 27, Gardai searched the teen's home and found the drugs in two shoulder bags in a storage area in his bedroom. 
 
The teen is also alleged to have tried to steal €135 euro worth of alcohol at a Londis store in Adamstown at knifepoint. 
 
He was remanded in custody at Blanchardstown District Court.
