13-year-old in serious condition following collision between car and bicycle

Gardai are looking for witnesses and information following a collision between a car and bicycle.

The incident occurred on the N51, Slane Road in Drogheda, Co Louth at 8:30pm on Sunday the 21st of August.

The 13 year-old-male cyclist was conveyed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda after suffering serious injuries.

The driver of the car was uninjured

The scene of the collision, and part of the N51 Slane Road is currently sealed off and preserved pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Road diversions are in place until further notice.
