Summer is back with temperatures to hit 20s this week
With rain fizzling out and more sunshine this week is going to feel a lot more like summer, according to Met Eireann.
Today, Monday, will remain largely cloudy with spots of rain around the country but things will really start to pick up tomorrow.
The forecasters say that Tuesday will be mild, with only a little rain along the northwest coast. The rest of the country will have brighter spells and some sunshine with temperatures set to hit 20 degrees.
Wednesday will be another mild day, with the east and midlands set to get the best conditions. There will be patches of fog and mist but in the sunshine temperatures will again hit the 20 degree mark.
Thursday will see it get a little cooler, with scattered showers and fresh winds taking the heat down to between 14 and 18 degrees.
Friday looks to be the warmest day of the week, with close and humid conditions seeing the mercury reach 21 degrees at times.
However, rain will arrive on the west coast and spread across Munster, Connacht and Ulster during the day.
At the moment Met Eireann say the coming weekend will be largely dry, with just a few showers.
Again, temperatures will break the 20 degree mark locally, with light winds.
