It has been reported that an alleged car thief in Scotland had the vehicle stolen from him while he was refuelling at a Tesco petrol station.

According to STV a 38-year-old man is said to have stolen a black Ford Focus from a premises in the city of Dundee.

However, a number of hours later the same car was said to have been stolen again from outside a Tesco petrol station in the city while the first alleged thief was refuelling.

Cops in Scotland have confirmed that two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the thefts.

"Police Scotland can confirm that two people have been arrested and charged in connection with a theft of a car from the petrol filling station at Riverside Drive, Dundee," they said in statement given to STV.
