The air traffic controllers in Spain are due to take strike action again this week – and there are warnings it could affect Irish holidaymakers.

The Irish Aviation Authority says it is possible that certain flights to Spain from Ireland will be affected by the action.

They say they believe it will be ‘limited’ but that disruption is a distinct possibility and are urging all passengers to contact their airlines for further updates and information.

The strike will take place for a time over tomorrow (Monday), Wednesday, Thursday and next Saturday.

It follows on from recent strike action taken by Spanish air traffic controllers in recent months, which had varying degrees of impact on Irish flights.
