Six people, including three children, in hospital after Dublin fire
Six people, including three children, were rushed to hospital early this morning after a fire broke out in a Dublin apartment block.
Emergency services rushed to the scene near Tallaght hospital around 3am this morning.
Eleven people were rescued from the building and six people were taken to hospital suffering from suspected smoke inhalation.
Some were rescued from the balcony of the building.
It is understood that nobody was seriously injured in the blaze.
Two 999 calls were made in relation to the fire.
Seven units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene from Dolphin's Barn, Rathfarnham and Tara Street.
Three ambulances also attended the scene.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and gardaí are investigating.
