Six people arrested after house raid in connection with 'false imprisonment'

Three males and three females were arrested in Co Meath yesterday evening, in connection with an allegation of false imprisonment.

Gardai are investigating an allegation of false imprisonment that occurred at Castletown, Kilpatrick, Navan, Co Meath yesterday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 8pm yesterday evening.

Three men were arrested after the authorities raided a house in connection with the investigation.

Two women, one aged in her early 40s and another aged in her early 60s, were also arrested, as was a female juvenile.

All six are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

They are being held at various garda stations in the Meath division.
