Six killed after small plane crashes in Canada
A small plane has crashed killing six people in eastern Quebec.
An ambulance official confirmed the number of fatalities.
Police earlier said seven passengers were aboard the plane, which was privately owned.
The plane crashed in a field in Iles-de-la-Madeleine just off eastern Quebec. The cause is not immediately known.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is deploying a team of investigators to the site of the accident.
The ambulance official later said a seventh person on the plane suffered cardiac problems.
The plane was a Mitsubishi turboprop and is believed to have crashed short of a runway.
