Sinead O'Connor named as tax defaulter
MUSIC star Sinead O'Connor has been named on the Tax Defaulter's List - and been hit with a bill of more than €160,000
The 'Nothing Compares 2U' singer is named by Revenue in its latest Tax Defaulter's List. She is described as an 'artist' and her address is given in Bray in Wicklow.
According to the documents, Ms O'Connor's tax returns were in error due to "underdeclaration of PAYE/PRSI'. The tax amounted to €90,543, on top of which was added more than €42,000 in interest and more than €27,000 in penalties.
The total settlement amounted to €160,304.
