Shotgun wielding thug bursts into church service and robs congregation

A thug robbed 65 churchgoers while armed with a shotgun during a church service in north Dublin, yesterday.

The incident occurred yesterday during a service at the Compassion Centre in Ballymun.

Churchgoer Lisa told The Sun:

He put the gun to a woman’s head and took another woman’s car keys. People were in shock.”

Lisa, a Born Again Christian, said:

“The first thing I thought when he came in was an ISIS attack because of what happened in Paris.”

“He said: ‘I am telling you, no one even f***ing think of going outside, there is a guy out there.

“He put the gun to the back of a fella’s head and said, ‘I am telling you the safety is off.’ I thought there was going to be terrorists.”

The violent thug forced the congregation to get on the floor and pointed the shotgun at several people’s heads.

He robbed their phones, purses, wallets and car keys and threatened to shoot anyone who refused.

He then locked the church door with a belt to prevent the congregation from following him, before making off in a stolen Fiat Punto car.

The suspect, who had a Dublin accent, fled towards Poppintree where he abandoned his getaway car and balaclava.
