Search underway at derelict building for Dublin man missing since 2004

Patrick Lawlor (24) went missing from Darndale, Coolock, north Dublin on December 16, 2004.

Gardai in Coolock are continuing their ongoing investigation in the disappearance of missing 24-year-old Patrick Lawlor, from Darndale, Coolock.

Patrick was reported missing on December 16, 2004, and his disappearance has previously featured on Crimecall in the past. 

As part of the investigation, a further search is being conducted on the grounds of the now-derelict Belcamp House.

The building is situated off the R139 road, which leads from the M1 to the Malahide Road. 

Initial site preparation works commenced this morning, and it is anticipated that the search will commence next Monday.

The search could last for up to three weeks.

The result of the search will determine the future direction of the investigation.
