There is great news from Met Eireann today with Friday, Saturday and Sunday set to bring very warm conditions across the country.

While today will be 'bright and breezy' with scattered showers, leaving temperatures below 20 degrees, that is set to change for Friday.

Tomorrow is set to be a warm and dry day across the country, with temperatures to hit 22 to 25 degrees, even in areas in the north and west that will see some cloud cover.

Met Eireann say that Saturday will see long periods of sunshine for Leinster and Munster, pushing the temperatures back into the mid 20s for those parts of the country.

Connacht and Ulster will see a bit more cloud cover on Saturday, which will probably keep things a little cooler in those areas.

Sunday should bring fine weather all across the country, which will again mean temperatures in the mid 20s.

As for the longer term, Met Eireann say that the good weather should continue into Monday but Tuesday should see things turn a bit cooler.
