Revenue seize over 4 million cigarettes in Dublin

Revenue officers seized 4.1 million cigarettes with a retail value of over €2 million from a container intercepted on the M1.

The haul was intercepted last night.

The shipment originated from Bangladesh and came to Dublin via Singapore and Rotterdam.

The brands in the shipment, 'Wilson' and 'Shahara' were labelled as 'black tea' on the shipment.

Investigations into the haul are ongoing.
