Over 300 litres of alcohol, along with nearly 3,000 cigarettes, were seized at Dublin Port by Revenue last week.

Last Wednesday, Revenue officers seized over 300 litres of alcohol and 2,960 cigarettes at Dublin Port.

The contraband was discovered following the search a truck which had disembarked a ferry from Holyhead and was driven by two Polish Nationals.

The estimated combined retail value of the undeclared goods is €3,300, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of approximately €2,200.

In a separate operation carried out yesterday, a house raid in Finglas saw cigarettes worth €3,700 seized while a man was interviewed in connection with that investigation.
