The police have made a fresh appeal for information two weeks after the brutal murder of Joe Reilly in Poleglass.

Two gunmen entered Mr Reilly's Poleglass house last Thursday evening, ordering two people in the house to lie on the kitchen floor.

They then shot the 43-year-old twice in the chest in his living room.

Now Serious Crime Branch detectives have asked for information on a person on a bicycle who they believe was in the Glenwood Court area immediately after the attack at 8pm on October 20.

A week ago the police released images of the clothing similar to what the attackers were wearing when they attacked Mr Reilly.

Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery said: “I am appealing to anyone who knows anything about someone on a push bike or saw a person on a bike in the Bell Steel Road area immediately after the shooting.

"This bike may have been in the Glenwood area. I need to speak to anyone who saw the bike, who was on it or where it went. Our revisit to the scene last Thursday night was productive but we need more assistance from the community if we are going to take the gun which killed Joe off the streets and put his killers in front of a court.”

Anyone with information can contact detectives on the non-emergency number 101 or speak anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
