Police searching for missing mother (15) and baby say father is also missing
Police searching for a 15-year-old mother and her baby daughter have said the child's father is also missing.
Northamptonshire Police moved to reassure Katie Kelly that officers simply want to make sure that she and three-month-old Kiah-Mae Boyle are safe and well.
In a direct appeal for the teenage mother to contact police, Detective Chief Inspector Elliot Foskett said: "Katie, I know you are probably scared, but I want to reassure you that we just want to make sure both you and Kiah-Mae are safe."
Speaking to the media in Northampton, the officer confirmed that Katie, from Long Buckby, was last seen on Tuesday evening.
The officer said: "I can now confirm that they were last seen in the Standens Barn area of Northampton at 7.30pm.
"Before she went missing, Katie did not take any money or belongings with her, so we do not believe she planned to leave home.
"I am urging Katie to contact us and let us know where she is and that she and her baby are safe.
"At this stage there is no evidence to suggest Katie or her daughter are in any immediate danger, however, it is vital that we find them as soon as possible."
Katie's boyfriend, 18-year-old Karl Boyle, is also missing but officers say they have no evidence to confirm that the teenagers are together.
Detectives believe that Katie is still in Northamptonshire but are also conducting inquiries in other areas of the country.
Katie is described as 5ft 7ins and of slim build with long dark brown hair and green eyes.
She was wearing a diamond-effect bracelet, a gold locket, black leggings, a white T-shirt and trainers.
