Police arrest 'dangerous' on-the-run prisoner in County Down
The prisoner released in error from Maghaberry prison is now back in custody after a month on the run.
Michael Smith was released from high-security Maghaberry prison in early March to attend a family event.
The 38-year-old, who had previously been refused bail, was being held on remand for murder.
The police issued an appeal to the public after the error became apparent, describing the on-the-run prisoner as "dangerous".
Tonight the PSNI tweeted that he was back in custody after being apprehended in the Carryduff area of Down.

Smith has been charged with the murder of Belfast man Stephen Carson, who was shot dead in front of his nine-year-old child in February of last year.
