Pedestrian killed by lorry named

A pedestrian who was killed when he was hit by a lorry has been named.

64-year-old William James Walker from North Belfast was struck by the vehicle on Dock Street just after 3pm on Friday.

Police continue to appeal for anyone who was on Dock Street and who witnessed the collision to contact local police in Tennent Street or the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference number 747 of 16/09/16.

Police are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who travelled along Dock Street or Broughan Street between 2:45pm and 3:15pm and who has a functioning dashboard camera fitted to their vehicle.
