Paedo on the loose after being accidentally deported to Ireland

Gardai are hunting a paedophile who was deported from Australia to Ireland by mistake.

The former teacher who had just served a sentence for child sex attacks has now disappeared.

The Irish citizen was accused in a federal child abuse royal commission of indecently touching a child at an elite school while performing a sex act in a church.

He is said to have instructed senior students to perform sex acts in underground rooms and reportedly assaulted a six-year-old boy at the same school.

The Irish Daily Mirror reports that it is unclear if gardai are aware of his location.

The pervert has been convicted of child abuse on four separate occasions and was set to face further charges dating back to the late 1960s , 1970s and in 1980.

Victims fear that extradition could be rejected if the now 74-year-old, whose name has been supressed, is mentally or physically unfit to face trial in Australia.

Embarrassingly though, the man was deported back to Ireland by The Australian Border Force who were unaware that he was under investigation in Victoria.
