Orange Weather Warning as Storm Abigail hits Ireland
Met Eireann have issued a status orange weather warning for today.
Strong winds and rain are expected throughout today as Storm Abigail bears down on the nation.

Gusts of between 100 and 120 km/h are expected in coastal areas.
The bad weather is set to peak this afternoon and early into tonight.

The second highest warning on Met Eireann's scale is for counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo.
Meanwhile a lesser yellow warning is in place for Roscommon where from 9am tomorrow until Friday at 3am they will experience winds of 45 to 55kph, with gusts touching 100 kph.
Western counties, this time Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick have also been issued with a yellow warning.
Storm Abigail will hit the UK even harder, with Scotland expectd to bear the brunt of the damage.
