One woman killed and two hospitalised in horror afternoon collision on motorway
A woman in her mid-20s was killed this afternoon after a truck collided with the car she was travelling in on the M8 motorway.
Gardai are at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the M8 (northbound) between Junction 9 and 10, at Dogstown, Co Tipperary.
At around 12.25 this afternoon, a truck collided with a car which had three females on board.
One woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two women have been brought to University Hospital Limerick and South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel.
The two hospitalised women are in their early and mid-50s, respectively.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The M8 northbound between junction 9 and 10 is restricted to one lane at the moment.
Earlier this morning, a man in his 60s was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Co Louth.
