One arrest in Fermanagh poteen raid
A Fermanagh man has been arrested after a poteen still was found at a premises in Lisnaskea.
Last Friday the 61-year-old was arrested after HMRC and the PSNI uncovered 2,500 litres of alcohol.
Half a ton of sugar and over 50kg of yeast was found as well as a generator and hundreds of empty bottles.
Steve Tracey of the Fraud Investigation Service at HMRC said: “The unregulated production of alcohol is clearly a very dangerous activity, and those consuming it would have no idea exactly what they were drinking.
“Anyone offered cheap alcohol should be wary.”
