This is the dramatic moment our man Hugh Jordan tracked down Denis Donaldson for his first interview after the Stormont spygate scandal.

Mr Donaldson, 55, a Sinn Fein official and close colleague of Gerry Adams, was shot dead at an isolated cottage near Glenties in Co Donegal in April 2006.

The Sunday World tracked him down to record the first interview with him after the revelation of his life as a souble agent.

The story catapulted back into the news this week when a BBC Spotlight programme claimed Adams was consulted over the murder of Donaldson two weeks after this interview was recorded.

Speaking to Louth radio station LMFM this week the Sinn Fein leader said: "I do totally and specifically refute the allegations that I was consulted."
