Cars belonging to Sinn Fein councillors Colin Kelly and Sandra Duffy have been set on fire in Derry.

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness has claimed dissident republicans were behind the attack.

Two men aged 17 and 23 have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

The two attacks happened separately at 1.50am in Kildrum Gardens and 2.30am in Oakbridge Park in the city today (Wednesday).

McGuinness tweeted: “With overnight attacks on Sinn Fein councillors Sandra Duffy and Colly Kelly in Derry, I have no doubt anti-democratic dissidents responsible.”
