A number of gunshots have been fired at a house in Northern Ireland in what police said was a suspected hate crime.

Four people were in the home in the Princes Street area of Lurgan, Co Armagh in the early hours of Monday morning when the attack took place.

The front door and a living room window were damaged in the incident, but no-one was injured.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said the occupants were left badly shaken.

Detective Sergeant Colin Patterson appealed for anyone with information about the incident or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to contact officers in Lurgan or using confidential lines.
