The PSNI have posted details of a very bad Santa on their Facebook page.

PSNI North Coast posted the details of what happened when they searched a suspicious male with a large red Santa sack in the town centre.

Inside the bag wasn' presents but stolen goods.

A follow up search at the man's home (which wasn't the North Pole) found more nicked stuff, with over £1,000 (€1,375) worth of goods recovered.

They also posted an image of the haul recovered.

The PSNI Facebook post also included a very important clarification.

'A note to all those children aged nine months to 99 years who may be a little worried: this was not the REAL Santa Claus.'

Good to know...
