Man dead in serious road accident in North Belfast

A man has died after a serious road traffic collision in North Belfast.

Police have confirmed that the man, aged in his 20s, has died following an RTC that occurred at Fife Street, North Belfast, sometime between 4.30am and 5am on the morning of Saturday 11 July.

The man was a motorcyclist. 

Inspector Paul Noble said: "I would appeal to anyone who saw a motorbike in the area at the time to contact Tennent Street Police Station or the Collision Investigation Unit at Antrim Police Station on the non emergency number 101."

York Road is closed between its junctions with Skegoneill Avenue and Alexandra Park Avenue. Diversions are in place.
