Man attacked with hammers in North Belfast burglary

A man has been attacked with hammers during an aggravated burglary at a house in North Belfast.

A number of masked men forced their way into the house at around 9.20pm.

A 37-year-old that was in the property at the time was beaten with hammers and has been taken to hospital for treatment to his arms and legs. 

The men made their escape along Clanmorris Street.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Detectives at Musgrave Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 1405 of 20/07/16.
