A Lisburn man was in court today charged with downloading indecent images of children.

Standing in the dock of the city's Magistrates Court, 49-year-old James Bradshaw spoke only to confirm that he understood the four charges against him.

Bradshaw, from the Bresagh Road, is accused of possessing and making indecent images of children, possessing a prohibited image of a child and possessing extreme pornography, all alleged to have occurred on 3 December last year.

Giving evidence to the court, Detective Constable Pilson said he knew the facts surrounding the case and that he believed he could connect Bradshaw to them.

As there was no objection to Bradshaw being freed on bail, District Judge Rosie Watters released him on condition that he has no unsupervised contact with children and ordered him to come back to court on 9 July.
