Firefighters were forced to tackle a large blaze in Belfast last night which the PSNI says was started deliberately.

The fire started at a vacant building in the Holywood Road area of east Belfast at around 9pm.

Almost 20 firefighters and four appliances were used to tackle the fire.

An aerial appliance was also deployed.

Police have appealed for anyone who has any information about the fire to contact Strandtown PSNI station.
