Carl Frampton announces Belfast fight date for next month

Belfast boxer Carl Frampton has announced that he will fight in Belfast next month.

This morning he took to Twitter to announce the date, promising an "exciting one".

The 30-year-old lost his WBA super featherweight title to Leo Santa Cruz in January in Las Vegas.

He also ruled out a bout with IBF champion Lee Selby, who has a mandatory fight with Jonathan Victor Barros this month.

It is thought the fight could take place in Windsor Park.
