Belfast's traffic is the worst in the UK.

That's according to tech giant TomTom, who make sat nav devices for motorists across the world.

The results of the research also showed that Belfast's traffic is worse than it was last year - even beating London to the top spot.

The survey found that average journeys in Belfast take 39% longer than they normally would during free-flowing traffic.

During rush hour, that can rise to a whopping 82% longer.

A spokesperson from TomTom said: "Road authorities and local governments can use traffic data to better manage traffic flow and businesses can plan smarter working hours, so their employees avoid travelling during the rush-hour."
