Ballycastle man arrested for one-punch attack on brother avoids jail
A Ballycastle man who was arrested after a one-punch attack on his brother in Australia leaving him critically injured has received a suspended sentence.
Barry Lyttle and his brother Patrick were enjoying a night out in Sydney in January when they got into a row.
Barry punched 31-year-old Patrick, who stumbled backwards and hit his head off the pavement.
Patrick was in a critical condition in hospital but has since recovered.
His brother Barry sat by his bedside throughout his recovery.
At Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney a judge handed down Barry a 13-month suspended sentence.
Barry can now return home with his family.
