Taoiseach Enda Kenny has been heckled and told to “get the f**k out of Wicklow” by angry protestors today.

The Fine Gael leader was on the election campaign trail and was visiting the constituency office of Andrew Doyle TD but he soon met the ire of some members of the public.

The video, which was tweeted by TV3 reporter Fergal O’Brien, shows Mayo native Mr Kenny being met with a chorus of abuse by bystanders.

Some shouted “Out, Out, Out”, while others were far more direct in getting their message across.

“You’re not welcome here” and “You fu**ing scumbag” were some of the jibes shouted in the Taoiseach’s direction.

The upcoming general election takes place on February 26.
