Gardaí say they are satisfied that a man who was found dead in a house in Limerick city did not suffer a violent death.

The man, aged in his 30s, was found unconscious on the ground floor of the house on Hyde Road at around 8pm last night.

He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick by ambulance where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A post mortem has been carried out and Gardaí have ruled out foul play.
